This and That.

Here are some random phone pics (the only kind of pics I take these days!) from the last week!

Putt-Putt with the fam was a big hit!

Last Friday we all loaded up to go run errands with Aaron alllll over PA and NY. It was quite the adventure ... It even snowed most of the day!

And look what Aaron surprised me with ... Drumroll please ...

The only Sonic in the state of New York!! I LITERALLY broke out into an Alleluia chorus. I was, however, ticked that I had just eaten a humungous bagel from Dunkin Donuts (Worst. Donuts. Ever) ... But that didn't stop me from ordering a chili cheese burger and a big cherry limeade. Happy happy.

We found a field of buffalo... We're easily entertained.

Then Sawyer was heart broken we had to leave.

It was a fun day with Daddy!!

After three days of good reports Dalton even got to go pick out his very own Buffalo at Tractor Supply! We've had plenty of lazy days too ... We read lotssss of books. Or maybe I should say we've read the same books lotssss of times. We've had a few days where it's been warm enough to get outside so we've been loving those. Apparently it's about to get really warm the next couple days (PLEASE, Lord!!).
For inside entertainment, our new fav movie is The Jungle Book 2. Sawyer cries for, "The Book! The Book!" as soon as he wakes up. Hilarious.

Don't be fooled by this next pic ... It wasn't even 60 degrees, but that felt like a heat wave to A.

I'm sure one day I'll look back on these ordinary days as my very favorites.

Unforgettables

It's been awhile since I've posted some Unforgettable moments in the Boonies.
By no means is it because of lack of material; the kids are continuing to say and do the funniest little things that keep us in stitches. But, so much of the time it's their little voice inflections or just the big thought or word coming out of the tiny mouth that makes us laugh ... It doesn't translate well to print which is a major bummer.
I'm still going to document in hopes I'll remember how cute they were when I'm an empty nester. So feel free to read along.

(Also, I've keep a running list of funnies in my phone which is where these are coming from- sorry if any are repeats from earlier posts ... I don't think so. But just in case.)

Avery is still obsessed with Justin Beiber. She begs for magazines with his picture on it and reminds us often that she's going to marry him. She watches The Disney Channel all the time and when I told her recently that Alex (Selena Gomez) is Justin's girlfriend she flipped. "Are you freaking kidding me?" she exclaimed. At which point I decided it was time to remove "freaking" from my vocabulary.

This was a day she went to work with her daddy, she's the cutest.

Dalton is at the stage (Lord, please let it be a stage) where he thinks all potty talk is hilarious. He
brings it up in the car, at meal times, bedtime prayers ... The child has no filter.
Since we got here so late in the "school" year, there wasn't any room for Dalton. Every Tuesday and Thursday when we drop A off or pick her back up Dalton asks me if this will be his school in the fall. Which usually warrants the following conversation:
Me: yes, Dalton. You get to come in the fall.
D: Good. Then I get to poop on my teacher.
Av: No, Dalton. You can't poop on your teacher. It's just not polite.

It's a good thing he's cute.

Being in a new place, with new peeps, Aaron thought it a good idea to work with the kids on "what to do if a stranger comes."
So, nightly ... At the dinner table ... they go around practicing their kidnapper scream. It's horrible. It messes with my equilibrium. And typically our windows are open so I'm sure the neighbors think we are totally crazy between nightly screaming matches, pantless outdoor play, and the general craziness of my children.
Anyway, the other day we were in Target and D let out quite a wail in agony that I wasn't getting him some toy. Avery patted him on the back and said, "Oh Dalton, that was a great kidnapper scream!"

Here's some pics of A and her bestie, Naomi.

Notice these pictures were taken about 12 minutes apart. And Avery is in a different outfit. She changes clothes at least six times a day. It. Drives. Me. Crazy.

Sawyer is still my cutie patootie little who from who-ville.
We think he is HILARIOUS and he barely even talks. I just know he's going to be the biggest ham.

My love for that little thing runs way deep.

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Unforgettables

I've kinda slacked on my Unforgettables for a while ... but we're back and here are some for the books ... or the blog. Whatev.

Aaron's friend Cody lives super close and comes over a lot, the kids LOVE Cody. Last night I think Aaron and Cody played football with A and D in the living room for about an hour ... so fun.
A couple weeks ago Cody was over and Dalton mentioned wanting to be a firefigher, which is what Cody is. Cody had his gear in his truck (that were seriously the heaviest things ever) and he let them try them on.

Avery has started trying to change Sawyer's diapers ... it's a beautiful thing. (Obviously, I just let her tackle the #1 diapers ... just felt the need to include that. :)

last week Avery came in wanting to get some lunch ... here was our convo:
Avery: Let's go play at Chick-fil-A Mommy, I need to get out of the house.
Me: We can't, it almost Sawyer's naptime.
Avery: sigh ... "Okay, then we'll just go through the Drive-thru at Chick-fil-a. I'll get chicken and dip, and Dalton will have chicken and dip. Sawyer already ate lunch." Then she stopped short, "Oh, and Rebekah, can I get you anything?"

Dalton is obsessed with "what time is it?" He asks me multiple times a day ... I keep meaning to get him a little watch. I have no idea why he asks either ... and whenever I tell him the time he just says, "Ok, shanks."

This week we went to a little ballet class for Avery.
One of the Mama's use to teach ballet so all our little playgroupies with girls got together to have a "ballet class." They were all TOO cute!

My kids have had the strangest phobia about going "poo poo" in the potty. It has taken them WAY longer than I was expecting. I think we have finally gotten it all worked out this summer, but randomly yesterday Avery went and wanted a surprise ... she tried to pull a fast one on me:

A:"Mommy, Mommy, I went poo poo in the potty! You know what that means, remember the song? "
Me: "What Song?"
A: "If you go poo poo in the potty, you get a new toy!"
Me: "I haven't heard that one, where did you hear that?"
A: "I just made it up."

This week Avery was the "Superstar" at school. She was the line leader, got to keep the Traveling Frog and chart his adventures over the weekend, and bring the class snacks for the week.
On Thursday she got to bring a show-and-tell. She picked her best cleaner trophy. A couple weeks ago when I was at my Bunco group Aaron made a trophy for whoever cleaned up their toys the best that night. It has lit a fire under them and now all I have to say is, "Who wants to win the trophy?" and they get to cleaning.
Avery brought it to show her class ...

Sawyer is always precious and unforgettable ...

And has wanted to prove that just because his siblings are out of the house, doesn't mean there can't be mischief in the house ... He's still keeping me busy! ;)

Happy Friday!!

Unforgettables

Just realized it's Friday. Some weeks the days just run together over here! But yay for Friday!
And Friday means Unforgettables!

Dalton has been laying on Sawyer's high chair tray lately. This worries me to death that he's going to break the tray and go crashing to the tile floor and then Sawyer will come barreling out after him. I'm always asking "Dalton, What do you you think you are doing?!" in a not so calm voice. And he almost always answers, "he wants to eat me!"
And starts dying laughing. Mess.

Sour face!!

Throughout the day in Avery and Dalton's disagreements
I'll hear one spout off, "My mom said you couldn't!" As if I'm just one of their mom. It makes me laugh.

They are constantly tattling on each other. On one hand this is
good because I am always in the know. On the other hand, I'm constantly saying, "no." When I would like to pretend not to see for a minute. :)

This week little man got tubes in his ears. He did wonderfully and was outside playing in the water hose by the afternoon with the big kids.

They were even kind enough to wash my car!

All cleaned up!!

Dalton has been stealing my coffeemate this week! He gets it out of the fridge and hides with it! Arg!

Besties!

I got home from Target a couple days ago and Avery sheepishlessly came scooting up to me ... "Mommy,I'm really sorry, but I've made a huge mess in your closet. But, I had a great time."
And isn't that all that matters? :)

Sawyer saying peekaboo!!

I recorded Ramona and Beezus for Avery last week and we've watched it every day. That and A Cinderella
Story
, the Hillary Duff real people one. It's crazy she's big enough to watch movies that aren't animated! Big girl!

Speaking of BIG I signed Avery and Dalton up for preschool in the fall. They start in just a couple weeks. They'll go Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30-2:30. I can't believe it! I know it's time, but I can't believe they are so old!

Lastly, Dalton came in the living room last night after looking for Aaron and finding him in the shower. He came running out and screamed, "MOM, I saw Daddy's butt." Bahaha! I'll spare you a picture! ;)

Unforgettables

Hello, blog. This summer heat has me l-a-z-y ... and I've been neglecting the ole' blog. Thankfully Cabs is keeping me in check and forcing me to record some unforgettables right now. Thanks Cabs.
I can't promise they're funny because I haven't been recording them like I normally try to do. Again ... lazy.

Me: Dalton, why are you naked again? Go put your undies back on!"
Dalton: "No, mama I just want to be naked!"
Avery: "please Mama, please let him be naked."

Yesterday we were in USA Drug... as in me and three children by myself. I try to avoid this at all cost because I'm scared things will play out just like they did. There I was carrying Sawyer on my hip, Avery following me around inside a Hula Hoop while she continued to run into things. Dalton was running through every aisle AWAY from me at rapid speed... barefoot of course, while yelling, "Mama, I need this candy for when I go poo poo!" Because we are still having issues with him not wanting to go #2 in the potty (He wants to put a pull-up on). I finally started yelling MYSELF, "Dalton, I'm going to spank you if you don't come here. NOW."
I am so that Mom. Whoops.

Sawyer gets to try new foods all the time right now and his facial expressions are ha-larious. We gave him something sour about a week ago and he did NOT like it and was making the funniest face. So now we say, "do your sour face" and he starts scrunching his face up. But, since we've made him do it so much he gets excited to do it and starts snorting too, which is even funnier. I just love him more every day!

The last couple days Dalton has come up to me, put his hands on my face, in his best baby voice says, "Mama, you are too cute!"

This week we were at the athletic club heading out to the pool, but after dropping Sawyer in the nursery had to walk up the stairs by all the worker-outers. There were lots of people on bikes and ellipticals and Avery looked at me and said, "Momma, is that what you're gonna do?" I told her no, I was just going to take them to the pool. Then she said, "Well, I really wish you would."
Lovely, thanks A.

Avery has turned into THE best helper. She is constantly carrying Sawyer around or I find them laying in her bed where she's reading him books. She helps him with his bottles and she IMMEDIATELY alerts me if he's into a no-no. It's wonderful.
I knew I had all these kids so close together for a reason!

Ok, that's all for today. Here are some pictures from last weekend that I never posted! :) Enjoy!

He's fearless on that diving board! He even jumped off the top of the party barge a couple weeks ago. SUCH a mess. In a good way of course. :)

Happy Friday!!
